Punjab CM Buzdar, Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem discuss progress in CPEC projects
LAHORE (92 News) – China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday.
The exchanged views on progress in CPEC projects in Punjab. They also agreed to construct a CPEC Tower in Lahore. They decided to take concerted steps to promote research related to the Agriculture Department and Seed Development.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the government will extend all-out cooperation to establish industry in Punjab.
He said that information desks will be established for industrialists and investors. "Industrialists and investors will be provided information about the Chinese industries under a roof," he said.
The Punjab chief minister said that the CPEC project has significance in stabilizing Pakistani economy.
CPEC Authority Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that work on the CPEC projects had been expedited. "There are ample opportunities of growth in the agriculture sector," he said.
He said that they will benefit from the Chinese experience and skill in the agriculture sector. "The Pakistani economy will strengthen by completing the CPEC projects," he added.
Board of Investment Pakistan Chairman Atif Bukhari was also present.
