Punjab, federal govts behind protest over Ahad Cheema’s arrest: Aitzaz Ahsan
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the Punjab and federal governments were behind the protest of bureaucracy over the arrest of former Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahad Cheema.
Talking to media in Lahore on Sunday, he said that the bureaucracy’s protest was a rebellion against the state.
The PPP leader said that the government should have issued show-cause notice the former LDA DG.
Ahsan went on to say that bigwigs were being revealed in the corruption, adding that cases should be registered against everyone.
He said the bureaucrats were the spoiled favorites of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
