Punjab govt bans use of mobile phone in educational institutions
LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has banned the use of mobile phone in educational institutions.
A letter has been sent to the District Education Authorities in this regard.
According to the notification, there will be a ban on the use of mobile phone and each type of the social media on the premises of educational institutions.
The letter states that the step is mandatory to stop the supply of narcotics in educational institutions.
“The Competent Authority has desired that under the prevailing dangers of menace of drugs in the educational institutions (Public 86 Private Sector) and to safeguard the young generation from this curse, it is mandatory to impose complete ban on the use of mobile and other sources to use social media on the premises of educational institutions across the Punjab (Public & Private Sectors) and also for the children under 16-years,” it adds.
