Punjab to seek Rangers’ help in anti-terrorism operation
LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has decided to take the help of Rangers in countering terrorism in the province.
The decision was taken in an apex committee meeting headed by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday. The procedure of the help would be decided later.
The committee expressed resolve to take indiscriminate action against the terrorist elements and their facilitators and further expanding intelligence based operations in the province to overcome the scourge of terrorism.
The apex committee also decided to remain strictly vigilant on the frontier areas of the province.
