Qadri announces countrywide protest movement against PML-N from Jan 17
LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Monday announced to launch a countrywide protest campaign against ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Monday after a meeting of the steering committee, formed after the opposition parties’ all parties conference (APC) on the Model Town incident, he said that the protest movement would start from January 17.
The PAT leader said that the protest movement is not about resignations anymore, adding that it is now about the dissolution of the PML-N government.
The leaders of all political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat and Jamaat-e-Islami have been invited join the protest movement.
Tahirul Qadri went on to say that the protest movement to be launched from January 17 would be to get justice for those died in Model Town carnage.
