Qureshi invites opposition parties in creation of south Punjab province
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday invited to the opposition parties including Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in creation of South Punjab province.
Talking to the floor of National Assembly – point raising about the matter of South Punjab province – the minister mentioned that there is need of two-third majority for creating the South Punjab province.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that no prime minister can make new province without two-third majority. He asked the opposition to come forward for becoming two-third majority.
He also explained that the South Punjab province could be easily made in the previous tenure of the government.
Meanwhile, Minister for information Fawad Chaudhry said that many speeches were made on the creation of South Punjab province but failed to do practically.
Speaking in the NA, the information minister said that the credit would go to Prime Minister Imran Khan for creating the South Punjab province same like the FATA merger.
