QWP joins KPK govt again, two MPAs sworn in as ministers
PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) has on Tuesday formally joined PTI-led provincial coalition government, with two of its leaders took oath as ministers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Provincial Governor Mahtab Ahmad Khan administered the oath to the new ministers, including Sikandar Khan Sherpao and Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli at the Governor House in Peshawar.
Sikandar Sherpao has been made the senior minister for home and tribal affairs as well as the irrigation department, while Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli has been given the portfolios of the mines and minerals as well as labor and manpower.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had to remove Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani from the post to accommodate a QWP lawmaker as the number of provincial cabinet members could not exceed 14 under the 18th constitutional amendment.
