Rain brings respite from heat in Punjab cities

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Rain brought respite for people from heat in different cities of Punjab, including Lahore. The rain brought the mercury down in different cities across the country.

Heavy downpour was reported in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjacent areas. Weather turned pleasant after light rain in Lahore. Thick clouds also continued to hover in the city.

In Cholistan, thick clouds and windstorm brought the mercury down. People had a sigh of relief after hot weather continuing for several days.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country.

The Met Office has predicted light rain with gusty winds during next 24 hours at scattered places in (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi divisions and Gilgit Baltistan.
