Rallies taken out against sacrilegious sketches across country
LAHORE (92 News) – Workers of several religious parties took out rallies against the blasphemous sketches across the country.
The Tehreek Labaik Pakistan kicked off its long march from Lahore to Islamabad. The march led by TLP chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi started from Data Darbar. Parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly Mufti Qasim Fakhari was also present.
The participants demanded that the government should sever the relations with Holland in addition to practical steps to stop the blasphemous sketches.
They also demanded that Pakistan ambassador to Holland should be brought back and the Holland envoy be expelled.
Allama Khadim Hussain said that the TLP workers will embrace martyrdom, will not budge from their principled stance. “There is no option to return home without acceptance of our demands,” he said.
Meanwhile, All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) workers took out a rally from Agriculture Department to Press Club.
The participants were carrying banners and chanting slogans against the responsible people.
Students took out a rally from Government College of Science to Bhaikaywal Morr. They announced to launch the Tahaffuz Namoos Risalat (SAW).
On the other hand, rallies were also taken out in Lasbella, Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad and Charsadda.
The Multan District Bar Association also staged a protest demonstration against the cartoonist.
