Rana Mashood’s party membership suspended over controversial statement
LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N Shehbaz Sharif has suspended the party membership of MPA Rana Mashood over controversial statement.
A three-member committee comprising Raja Zafarul Haq, Ayaz Sadiq and Rana Tanvir has been formed to reprimand Rana Mashood. The committee will present the report within two weeks. The decision on the fate of Rana Mashood will be made in the light of the report.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that the statement of Rana Mashood was irresponsible.
Hamza Shehbaz said that the statement about a deal is wrong. “We are not thinking about forming the government in Punjab. Let us enjoy the opposition,” he maintained.
On the other hand, Rana Mashood has denied the statement about the deal. “My statement has been presented out of context. The word not uttered by me has been highlighted,” he said.
Meanwhile, politicians have given a mixed response to the statement of Rana Mashood.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that Mashood’s statement shows disintegration within the party. “The Sharif family is the root of the evil.” Abdul Aleem Khan said that Rana Mashood has started having daydreams.
