Rangers’ power extension issue not expected to be raised again today
KARACHI (92 News) – The issue of extension of special powers to Rangers is not expected to be raised in Sindh Assembly (SA) meeting today (Tuesday) as today is a Private Members Day.
The resolution to extend Rangers’ special powers is not expected to be moved in the Sindh Assembly session today due to the Private Members Day in the assembly.
The issue of extension on special powers could not be resolved since it expired despite assurances by the provincial government.
Earlier, the Sindh Assembly session on Monday witnessed ruckus as opposition MPAs protested against the PPP-led government for not taking up the issue of extending Rangers’ special powers in the province.
Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani adjourned the session until this morning (Tuesday). Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khuhro and Nusrat Sehar Abbas exchanged hot words over the issue.
