Rangers’ Powers issue: PM Nawaz Sharif invites CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to Islamabad
KARACHI (92 News) – Stepping into the controversy regarding extension of Rangers’ special powers, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday invited Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah in Islamabad to address Sindh government’s reservations.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif contacted Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah regarding law and order situation in Karachi and extension of Rangers’ special powers.
On the occasion, CM Sindh informed the prime minister about provincial government’s reservations regarding actions of Rangers, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).
He said that the people living abroad wanted to come back to Pakistan on the occasion of anniversary of martyred prime minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27, but they have some reservations, on which the prime minister assured to address their reservations.
