Rangers seize huge cache of weapons in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Rangers have on Friday seized a huge cache of weapons in a raid at house in Azizabad area of Karachi.
According to Rangers Spokesman, the paramilitary force carried out a raid at house no. 512 in Azizabad area near the Khurshid Memorial Hall, the now sealed headquarters of the Muttahida Quami Movement-London (MQM-London).
The weapons were recovered from a concealed wall inside store room.
The seized weapons include 20 sub-machine guns, two light machine guns, one G3 rifle, and ten thousand rounds of ammunition.
The weapons and ammunition were to be used for terrorism and target killing purpose in the city by the MQM-London’s militant wing.
On the other hand, Director General Rangers Major General Muhammad Saeed visited the Korangi Industrial Association and said that the institutions will continue to play their role to crush country’s enemies.
He appreciated the pivotal role of the Landhi and Korangi industrial areas in the economy of the country.
The DG Rangers said that the paramilitary force will continue its efforts to restore peace and the protection of the traders.
