RAW involved in terror activities in Pakistan, says Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary has said that Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is involved in terror activities across the country.
Expressing these views in a press conference on Thursday, Aizaz Chaudhry stated that the Indian government had been informed about RAW’s hand in terrorist activities being conducted in Pakistan and evidence had also been provided to them. “The elements of terrorism are still operational in Pakistan,” he said. “These elements were behind incidents similar to the Karachi bus attack. Pakistan has been waging a war against terrorism for the past 15 years and it will take it to its logical conclusion.”
The foreign secretary said that two accused captured in Karachi have confessed to getting training from RAW.
The key foreign ministry official’s statement came a day after terrorists left 45 members of Ismaili community dead in a barbaric attack on their bus in Karachi.
The carnage prompted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to arrive in Karachi and order army to kick start a ‘final round’ of anti-criminal operation in a decisive blow to terrorists infiltrating the metropolis.
