Raza Rabbani lambasts absence of ministers in Senate
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani has on Friday strongly criticized the low attendance in the Upper House of the Parliament.
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani chaired the session during which he lambasted over continuous absence of ministers, saying it’s embarrassing to see a low quorum.
He said that there are more than 50 ministers but none of them comes to the Upper House of the Parliament.
Earlier, Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah had on Tuesday suggested to punish government ministers for being absent from the assembly sessions.
Criticizing the low attendance in the National Assembly, he said had that 20 crore people are seeing these empty chairs, adding that the nation sends us to the parliament and we break their trust.
He said the nation was given the gift of the largest numbers of cabinet on Independence Day but regretted that they were not taking the elected house seriously.
