Record tampering case: Zafar Hijazi released on bail from Adiala Jail
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) former chairman Zafar Hijazi was released on bail from Adiala Jail on Tuesday.
Special Central Judge Irum Niazi granted bail to Zafar Hijazi after furnishing two security bonds worth Rs 500,000 each.
The court had reserved the judgment after hearing the arguments on August 2.
Zafar Hijazi was arrested for tampering with the record of Chaudhry Sugar Mills. He said that the JIT investigating the Panama case had pointed out the record tampering.
The SC had ordered the FIA to arrest him. The IHC granted him a transit bail after he was admitted to PIMS.
