Red Zone Protest Case: MQM’s Waseem Akhtar, Khawaja Izhar indicted
Karachi (92 News) – A local court on Saturday indicted Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) leaders in a case pertaining to violence during a protest outside the Chief Minister House over water scarcity in Karachi. The judge read out the charges against the Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hasan, MPA Mehfooz Yar Khan and others. The MQM-P leaders denied the charges and pleaded not guilty and decided to contest the same. The court summoned the prosecution witnesses for evidence on December 2 .
