Rehman Malik reaches Pakistan to appear before JIT
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former Interior Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik has on Tuesday returned to the country after cutting short his UK visit, to appear before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and family in Panama leaks case.
The JIT formed to probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in Panama Leaks case had summoned the former interior minister to appear before the six-man panel on June 23.
The PPP senator had requested the JIT few days time to appear before it, as he was abroad.
Talking to media after returning to the country, He will present his stance before JIT.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had directed Rehman Malik to return Pakistan at earliest and appear before JIT.
Sources said that Rehman Malik had initiated investigations against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Hudabiya Papers Mill and Money Laundering due to which he has been summoned.
