Renowned novelist Ishtiaq Ahmed dies of cardiac arrest at Karachi Airport
KARACHI (92 News) – Renowned novelist Ishtiaq Ahmed died of a cardiac arrest at Karachi Airport on Tuesday.
Later, he was shifted to Edhi Centre.
Ishtiaq, 74, wrote hundreds of novels featuring Inspector Jamshed and Kamran Mirza and the famous characters of Mehmood, Farooq, Farzana and Shoki.
He wrote his first book in 1973 and was at height of his fame during the 1970s and all through the 90s. He is survived by his wife, five sons and three daughters.
