Renowned playback singer A Nayyar passes away at 66
LAHORE (92 News) – Renowned playback singer A Nayyar passed away at 66 in Lahore on Friday. He was 66.
He is survived by a widow and three daughters. His final rites will be performed in Lahore on Saturday.
A Nayyar was a Pakistani ghazal/film singer. He started singing in 1974, beginning his career from film Bahisht. His first film song ‘Yunhin din cut jayen, yuhin shaam dhal jaye’ was a duet song with Rubina Badar in film Bahisht.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief over the death of renowned singer A. Nayyar. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Paying rich tributes to the great services of A Nayyar for promotion of music in Pakistan, the prime minister said that A Nayyar will always remain a shining star in the world of music. He will be dearly missed.
