Those responsible for Parachinar incidents will be brought to justice: COAS
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that the Army is closely following the sectarian and ethnic colour being deliberately given to recent spate of incidents in the country by hostile intelligence agencies and sponsored anti-state elements.
In a statement on Wednesday, he said: “Having failed to divide us through terrorism, our enemy is now trying to target and fragment us along sectarian and ethnic lines which merit a unified national response.”
The COAS said that ongoing malicious campaign of enemies unwittingly being spread on the social media was highly regrettable. “We all need to be cognizant of it. For us, every martyr or injured is equal regardless of the sect/ethnicity and indeed is a great loss,” he maintained.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that they all are Pakistanis and Muslims who fully respect the religious rights of our Pakistani minorities.
The COAS has interacted with religious figures from all sects over the last few days for their positive involvement in defeating the ongoing sinister campaign.
He assured that those responsible for Parachinar incidents would be brought to justice and victims would be compensated without any discrimination.
“Alhamdulillah, we have brought security situation in the country, including the FATA, under control and will not allow its regression at any cost,” said the COAS.
