Returning to Pakistan despite watching a prison cell: Nawaz Sharif
LONDON (92 News) – Former premier Nawaz Sharif has said that he is returning to Pakistan despite watching a prison cell.
Addressing a workers’ convention on Wednesday, he said: “Those spreading rumours of my political asylum should listen that I am returning to the country.”
He said that the decision to put Nawaz Sharif in jail had been made somewhere else. “The revengeful people did not even think what status of daughters is in our society,” he added. “What was the fault of Maryam Nawaz? She is also going to jail with me.”
He said that it would be disloyalty with Pakistanis if they remained silent this time. “The verdict states that Nawaz Sharif is acquitted of corruption allegations.”
The former premier said that he is proud of the jawans sacrificing their lives for the country.
“I highly respect the martyrs and Ghazis of the Pak Army. Now such games cannot be played. The era of puppets has gone. Do not play with the future of Pakistan,” he maintained.
Nawaz Sharif said that the vote is being insulted. “The ruler is someone else, while rules another one. Decisions are made somewhere else and the government has to clarify the position,” he said.
“The objective of respect the vote is to establish the rule. We should be respected, not be considered animals. We have to change everything if we want to bring prosperity in the country. We have to change it at the earliest,” he said.
Nawaz Sharif said that it is the referendum of the country’s history. “We have to decide about the future of the country,” he added.
