Road side blast kills six soldiers in Harnai
HARNAI (92 News) – A road side bomb blast targeting security forces on Tuesday martyred at least six paramilitary troops and wounded three others in Khosat area near Harnai in Balochistan province.
The vehicle of the Frontier Corps was on a routine patrol in Khost area of Harnai district when the bomb exploded.
Security official said that the bomb was planted on the side of the road and badly damaged the vehicle.
Security forces and rescue officials reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to local hospital.
The paramilitary troops also cordoned off the area and launched investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has strongly condemned the attack.
In a statement issued, the prime minister said that the attack on the day, when the entire nation celebrates its Independence, will not deter our valiant forces from its duty towards their motherland.
He said these cowardly attacks cannot bring our nation’s morale down on such an important day. The Prime Minister expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives and prayed for the departed souls.
