Roads turn into ponds after heavy rain in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – A majority of roads have turned into ponds after heavy downpour in the city.
Owing to negligence of the administration, the rainwater could not be pumped out even after 24 hours. The dirty accumulated water is giving stench, making life a hell for the residents.
In addition, heaps of garbage in every nook and corner of the city have aggravated the situation.
In Federal B area, sewage entered a mosque and the water could not be pumped out. As a result, the people are unable to say their prayers in mosque for the last two days.
On the other hand, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar has not returned from a foreign tour.
Karachi JI ameer Hafiz Naeem said that the citizens were moving from pillar to post for the resolution of their problems, but no one was to listen to them. “The PPP and Muttahida are quarrelling with each other instead of resolving people’s problems,” he said.
Hafiz Naeem said that the K-Electric had become a mafia.
