Rumpus mars first meeting of Karachi City Council
KARACHI (92 News) – Rumpus ruled the first meeting of the Karachi City Council on Wednesday.
The brawl started over a resolution tabled by the PTI. The MQM members raised hue and cry over the resolution, turning the house into a fish market.
After approving a condemnation resolution against the MQM founder, the meeting was cancelled till October 3.
Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar could not participate in the meeting. Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra presided over the meeting.
The meeting also approved 27 committees. The opposition parties demanded that the opposition leader should be appointed.
