COAS phones Afghan president, chief executive

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – COAS General Raheel Sharif phoned Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on Thursday, seeking the Afghan government’s help in bringing the culprits of the Charsadda tragedy to justice.

Meanwhile, a high-level Russian delegation headed by Fomin Alexander Vasilyevich, Director of Federal Service for Military – Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation (FSMTC), called on COAS General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters.

During the meeting focus of the discussion was on enhanced security / training cooperation and measures to further expand joint military ties between the two armies.


Fomin Alexander Vasilyevich acknowledged the achievements of Pakistan Army in fight against terrorism and measures for bringing regional peace and stability.
