Saleem Shahzad sent to jail on judicial remand

KARACHI (92 News) – The anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Tuesday sent former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Saleem Shahzad to jail on judicial remand.

Saleem Shahzad was produced in the court for the hearing of various cases against him.

He is facing charges related to his escape from the country on fake identity card in the 1990s.

Shahzad is also facing charges related to terrorism, sedition and accused of abetment in facilitation of terrorists.

The ex-MQM leader expressed satisfaction over the judicial system in Pakistan and said that he will face all the charges against him.

Earlier, Saleem Shahzad was arrested from Karachi airport on his arrival from Dubai after 20 years.
