Samjhauta Express leaves for New Delhi
LAHORE (92 News) – The Samjhauta Express has on Thursday left for New Delhi with 192 passengers on-board, after almost a week’s delay.
The express was not allowed to cross the border for the past week as Indian authorities turned it back twice in the last week due to ongoing protests by farmers in Punjab. One hundred and twenty two Indian while seventy Pakistanis are on board on the rail.
The Indian authorities had confirmed to Pakistan Railways authorities about their decision to resume the service. The Service of the Samjhauta Express suspended for two times when Indian government had not allowed it to enter in its territory last week.
