Sania Nishtar, Zafar Mirza open ‘langarkhana’ at PIMS
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Ehsas Prrogramme Chairrman Sania Nishtar and Zafar Mirza inaugurated a ‘langarkhana’ at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Friday.
Talking to the media after inaugurating the ‘langarkhana’, Sania Nishtar said that more langarkhanas will be opened for the deserving. “We will soon make public the names of officers benefitting from the Benazir Income Support Program,” she said.
She said that the prime minister had directed to open ‘langarkhanas’ across the country.
Zafar Mirza said that the prime minister’s vision is that no one should sleep hungry. “The establishment of a langarkhana at PIMS is the visualization of the dream of the prime minister,” he said.
He said that the Ehsas Programme is the biggest program to alleviate poverty. “The government is taking responsibility of the weak and the backward sections of the society,” he said.
Later, they took meal with the relatives of the patients at langarkhana and inquired after the health of their dear ones.
