ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Sarfraz Merchant, who leveled serious allegations against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders including London-based party chief Altaf Hussain, has on Monday refused to appear before the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).

The FIA had summoned Sarfraz Merchant at its Islamabad’s zonal office on March 15 to investigate into the allegations he leveled against MQM leadership.

Earlier, he assured the FIA of full cooperation in the investigation, however, he suddenly changed his mind and refused to appear before FIA and asked the FIA to correct its record.

On the other hand, the Interior Ministry directed FIA to address the reservations of Sarfraz Merchant and directed the Director FIA to personally contact him.
