SBP announces monetary policy for next two months

KARACHI (92 News) – The State Bank of Pakistan has on Saturday announced new monetary policy for the next two months.

The central bank slashed the interest rate by 0.5 percent and brought it down to six percent.

The state bank noted that there was fear of increase in inflation due to exemption of subsidy on electricity, while the inflation has decreased after decrease in oil prices.
