SC accepts petition for hearing against Kalsoom Nawaz nomination papers

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has on Saturday accepted for hearing a petition against the approval of nomination papers of Kalsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, for NA-120 by-election.
A three member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmad will take up the case.
The was filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for NA-120 by-polls Faisal Mir against Kalsoom Nawaz, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and others.
The apex court accepted the petition for hearing and will hold its first hearing of the case on September 18.
