SC issues notice to federal govt on Sharjeel Memon bail plea
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Friday issued notices to the federal government on the petition of former Sindh minister Sharjeel Memon seeking bail.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the case.
During the proceedings, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa remarked that what is reason that everyone arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) fall sick.
He remarked that the NAB should open a State of the Art hospital for these people, adding that there were reports in the media that Memon has been given a whole floor in the hospital.
Justice Khosa remarked that a ward was also allotted to Sufi Muhammad.
Lateef Khosa, the counsel of Sharjeel Memon said that the jail administration had in written informed the Sindh government about lack of treatment in jail after which his client was shifted to hospital.
The court later issued notices to the federal government and sought reply in the first week of the January 2018.
