SC summons Khurshid Shah in EOBI case
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Thursday issued notice to Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah in the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) case.
The Supreme Court heard contempt of court proceedings against former chairman EOBI Zafar Iqbal Gondal, in which Khurshid Shah’s name appeared as a beneficiary.
The court issued notice to former minister for department of labor and manpower Khurshid Shah.
The opposition leader in national assembly is accused of approving irregular appointments during his tenure. The court has ordered him to submit a detailed reply in the next hearing.
The apex court further issued arrest warrants for the former secretary of the ministry Arif Azeem, and ordered to place his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
