Section 144 revoked in Islamabad for PML-N road show

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As disqualified former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is set to leave for Lahore today (Wednesday) from Islamabad via the famous Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) in a bid to show his popularity among the people despite security concerns, the authorities have on Wednesday revoked the Section 144 in the federal capital PML-N rally.

The Section 144 was revoked on the application for Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem.

The Metro Bus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been suspended on the occasion of the former prime minister’s road show.

On the other hand, police vacated the hostels located at Murree Road, while the orders were issued to close all the markets, shops and other offices at Murree Road.


Meanwhile, high alert has been issued to all the hospitals in the federal capital.
