Senate elections: ECP rejects nomination papers of Ishaq Dar
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the nomination papers of former senator Ishaq Dar.
PTI’s Mahmoodur Rashid had challenged the papers of Ishaq Dar.
The papers have been rejected for not providing attested documents with regard to the bank. The appeal against the rejection can be filed until February 15.
On the other hand, the nomination papers of Hina Rabbani Khar, Saadia Abbasi and Ch Sarwar have been approved.
Meanwhile, the papers of Andleeb Abbas, Asif Kirmani, Haroon Akhtar, Shahzad Khan, Kamil Ali Agha, Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Sheeza Fatima, Samiullah Chaudhry, Mussadaq Malik, Shakeel Awan, William Michael, Nawazsh Ali Pirzada, Naseer Bhutta, Rana Maqbool, Zubair Gull, Shaheen Khalid Butt, Kamran Michael., Asif Javed, Nuzhat Sadiq, Victor Zaria and Hamid Miraj have been approved.
The papers of Sarfraz Qureshi, PML-N-backed Hafiz Abdul Kareem, Bilal Butt and Usman Khanzai have been rejected.
