Seven MQM activists held in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The law-enforcement agencies have on Friday apprehended seven activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) during raids in different areas of the port city.

As per details, police and law-enforcement agencies carried out raid in Abul-Hasan Isphani Road and detained two regional leaders of MQM-Pakistan.

Sources privy to the MQM-Pakistan said that the arrested leaders include Town member Izhar and Town Incharge Azam.

On the other hand, four activists of MQM-Pakistan were nabbed during raid in Gulshan-e-Muammar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The arrested men include and man namely Ubaid.

Two persons belonging to the MQM-London were arrested during a raid in New Karachi area.


The arrested men were shifted to unknown place for further investigation.

Meanwhile, an accused was killed and three others arrested in injured condition. Police have recovered weapons, motorcycles and looted items from the possession of arrested men.
