Seven students, driver dies as bus hits rickshaw in Bhakkar

BHAKKAR (92 News) – Eight people, including seven female students, were died when a speeding bus hit a rickshaw near Jahan Khan on Bhakkar-Jhang Road.

The students were returning to their homes after taking the Class 9 examination.

After the incident, citizens turned violent and set the bus ablaze.

Deputy Commissioner Waqas Rasheed and DPO Shaista Nadeem visited the site and banned the private transport company whose bus hit the rickshaw. They also assured the victim families of justice.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow over the incident and sought a report from the district administration.

In another incident, 15 people were injured in a collision between a bus and a van in Narowal. The injured were shifted to hospital.
