Several Pakistanis stranded in India due to closure of Samjhota Express

LAHORE (92 News) – Several Pakistanis have been stranded after the closure of Samjhota Express by Indian authorities.

The Pakistan High Commission has contacted the Indian officials for extension in the visas of the stranded Pakistanis.

On the other hand, Pakistan has sent 84 Indian passengers to India through the Wagah Border.

Samjhota Express is run through the cooperation of India and Pakistan on Mondays and Thursdays. It had reached Pakistan from India on Thursday last, but could not depart due to certain reasons.


The train was also cancelled on Monday, stranding 116 Pakistani passengers.
