Sharif family meets Nawaz at Kot Lakhpat Jail
LAHORE (92 New) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz have met former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Tuesday.
The meeting was held between Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz and Nawaz Sharif. On the occasion, the trio PML-N leaders discussed political situation of the country and they all agreed to maintain the charter of democracy.
Maryam Nawaz reached at jail with taking food, fruits, medicines and other things for her father. The PML-N workers warmly welcomed her with the petals of flowers.
Nawaz continues to have angina pain: Maryam
After the meeting, speaking to the journalists, Maryam Nawaz said that she met Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat jail, where he continued to have angina pain and the latest recurrence of chest pains was on Monday night.
She also said that in today’s meeting the father and daughter discussed the visit of Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. “Bilawal took out time to meet Nawaz Sharif and I thank him for this gesture,” said Maryam Nawaz.
In a tweet, the former premier’s daughter said that due to Nawaz Sharif’s present condition she would not be able to have a meeting with him on Thursday. She also thanked people for their love and support
“Just got out of Kotlakhpat jail. MNS continues to have angina, last night being the latest recurrence. In view of his health, the (regular) Thursday meeting would not be possible. Thank you very much for your love, prayers & support for MNS,” she tweeted.
