SHC moved against Nawaz Sharif’s appointment as PML-N Quaid
KARACHI (92 News) – A lawyer has moved the Sindh High Court against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) decision to appoint former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as its Quaid.
A hearing has been scheduled for Friday.
A petition has been filed in the High Court of Sindh for a declaration that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz cannot legally appoint former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as its Quaid.
The petitioner, Advocate Iqbal Kazmi, says Sharif cannot be appointed to a leadership position after a court declaration that he is not qualified to serve as party president. He also said the Election Commission of Pakistan did not recognize Sharif as head of the party.
