SHC rejects request for Ajmal Pahari’s transfer to Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday refused to admit application requesting transfer of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) target-killer Ajmal Pahari to Karachi.
SHC Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh refused to entertain the request for transfer of the target-killer from Sukkher to Karachi. “Do you wish to see Ajmal supervise target-killings in Karachi?” the judge asked Ajmal’s counsel. “We don’t want the people of Karachi to suffer more.”
Ajmal Pahari was arrested in 2013 for attacking a police van in Chakragoth area of Karachi. During the investigation, he confessed to numerous target-killings and being part of the MQM.
