Shehbaz Sharif demands resignation of PM, Punjab CM over sugar scam
LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif has said that the gang leader of the sugar thieves is Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a statement, he demanded that the prime minister and the chief minister should resign. “Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the decisions and he cannot hold others responsible for it,” he said.
He said that the report had tried to prove the lie as truth by not holding Imran Khan responsible. “Firstly, Imran Khan allowed the plunder of the national exchequer and then ordered to arrest them. Imran Khan approved all decisions of the theft of flour and sugar,” he said.
Shehbaz Sharif said that why the export was allowed when there was no stock of sugar in the country. “Why was the export allowed despite the opposition of the Sugar Advisory Board and the Food secretary?” he questioned.
He said that the nation was looted twice. “Imran Khan cannot be absolved by making others scapegoats. The PM being the head of the ECC and the cabinet is responsible for each decision,” he added.
PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said that PM Imran Khan is responsible for the sugar scandal.
Malik Ahmed Khan said that the prime minister had decided to export sugar.
Uzma Bukhari said that the report will be basis for the NAB cases at an appropriate time.
