Shehbaz Sharif says national unity, brotherhood need of the hour
LAHORE (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that the national unity and brotherhood are need of the hour.
Addressing a meeting of the parliamentary leaders on Wednesday, he said that politics should not be given priority. “We should keep our eyes on the targets, ignoring political losses,” he said.
The opposition leader was of the view that the real objective is the survival of the nation. “We have to play the role of the servant of the masses. It is a collective test and we can be successful collectively,” he maintained.
Shehbaz Sharif said that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif is likely to undergo a heart surgery next week. “Nawaz Sharif is very sad over the current situation. The nation faces difficult and testing conditions. I request all the people to pray for the health of Nawaz Sharif,” he added.
He urged the PML-N leaders and workers to play a historic role jointly. “We should strive for protecting the national interests during this time,” he said.
The PML-N president said that the destruction of economy is a greater threat than coronavirus. “Coronavirus patients are increasing rapidly in Pakistan, which is a matter of concern all of us,” he added.
