Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest gave bad impression, says Bilawal Bhutto
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that the arrest of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif gave a bad impression in the world.
Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that legal demands would have been fulfilled if allegations were against Shehbaz Sharif. “The way Shehbaz Sharif has been arrested is improper,” he said.
He said that the government wants to run away from accountability by keeping the slot of the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship with it.
The PPP chairman said that they agree with the requisition submitted to the Nation Assembly with regard to Shehbaz’s arrest.
He said that the PPP had decided to file a petition to get the Shaheed Bhutto reference reopened. “The petition will be filed in the Supreme Court next week,” he added.
