Shehbaz’s appointment as PAC chairman not right: Sheikh Rasheed
LAHORE (92 News) – Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has said that the appointment of Shehbaz Sharif as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman is not right.
Addressing a press conference at Railway Headquarters on Saturday, he said that they were not encouraged by assigning the protection of milk to a cat.
“If Shehbaz Sharif is an honest man then there is no dishonest in the PML-N,” he maintained.
About the production order of Khawaja Saad Rafique, Sheikh Rasheed said that Khawaja Saad Rafique is the son of a big man and he would respect him till his death.
“No production order was issued on the funeral of my father. I was arrested in the Kalashnikov case,” he said.
The minister said that Imran Khan wants to see thieves and dacoits behind the bars.
To a question, he said that he had never talked about sister Kulsoom Nawaz or Maryam Bibi. “Bilwal is my buddy and I talk about him,” he said.
Sheikh Rasheed said that Rehman Baba Express will leave for Karachi on December 23.
“Trackers will be installed in trains in 10-15 days. After the installation of trackers, the people will know the trains schedule easily,” he said.
The minister said that if a five-star wants to launch a train it could contact him. “The railway department will come up to expectations of the people,” he added.
He claimed that they were resolving the problems of pensioners on priority basis. “Strict laws are being introduced to deal with fare dodgers,” he said.
