SHO Mehr Ismail remanded in NAB custody for seven days
OKARA (92 News) – An accountability court remanded SHO Mehr Ismail in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for a seven week.
Mehr Ismail faces the charges of protecting criminals and corrupt people as well as extra judicial killings.
92 News had disclosed Mehr Ismail’s links with criminals. Later, former DPO Rana Faisal and SHO Mehr Ismail started registering cases against journalists who also protested.
On the order of Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, DIG Investigations Punjab Ch Shafique conducted an inquiry and all allegations against the SHO were proved. However, former DPO Rana Faisal did not action against him.
Former IG Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera had transferred the SHO out of the district.
