Shutdown, wheel-jam in IHK on Hurriyat Conference appeal; Masarat’s bail plea rejected
SRINAGAR – A complete shutdown and wheel-jam were observed across Indian Held Kashmir on the call of the Hurriyat Conference on Saturday, reported 92 News.
Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani had called for the shutdown against the arrest of Masrat Alam.
Shops and other businesses remained closed, while there was no public transport in Srinagar and other major towns of the Indian Held Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a local court rejected the bail plea of Hurriyat Conference leader Masarat Alam.
A case was registered against Masarat Alam, Geelani and several other Hurriyat leaders for hoisting Pakistani flag during a public gathering.
