SIMs biometric verification date won’t be extended: PTA chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Ismail Shah has said that the date for the biometric verification of mobile SIMs will not be extended.

Talking exclusively to 92 News on Saturday, he said that the verification of SIMs will be stopped at 12 night on April 12.

He said that 78,000,000 SIMs have been verified so far. “16,000,000 people have not verified their SIMs.”


The PTA chairman said that roaming of mobile phones in Afghanistan has been blocked.
