Sindh Assembly approves bill revoking NAB Ordinance
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh Assembly has approved the bill aimed at revoking the NAB Ordinance on Monday.
The opposition members staged a protest carrying postcards inscribed with slogans ‘No Corruption No’ and ‘Shame on You’.
They also staged a walkout.
MQM leader Kh Izhar said that Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar should take notice of the move against the law.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the assembly had passed a historic bill.
The passage of the bill will benefit 96 figures including politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen, government and bank officers.
Currently Dr Asim, Sharjeel Memon, Manzoor Kaka, Saqib Soomoro, Pir Mazhar, Ghulam Haider Jamali, Agha Maqsood and Siddique Memon are facing the corruption charges.
